Qsan to Demo New Storage Solutions at Computex 2014

May  27 , 2016
16G FC and Unified Storage for Better 4K Video Production, Virtualization and Cloud Storage

Taipei, Taiwan, May 27 2014 - Qsan Technology Inc, the professional network storage provider of SAN & unified storage, announces it will be presenting its latest storage systems at Computex 2014 from June 3rd to 7th. Qsan will be demoing its SAN and unified storage systems in common enterprise applications including high resolution 4K video editing, video surveillance, desktop virtualization(VDI), and backup applications. The demos will feature existing products as well as new systems including the AegisSAN V100 SAN designed for backup & surveillance, the TrioNAS U300 featuring both iSCSI and FC connectivity and the JBOD J100 high availability enclosure.

Qsan invites its customers, business partners and interested parties to visit its location at Booth #J0318, Nangang Exhibition Hall 1F and experience the speed of 16G Fibre Channel and the flexibility of unified storage.

4K Video Production
4K is the latest in high resolution video, allowing unprecedented levels of detail to be displayed. At 4000 pixels wide, 4K video has storage and bandwidth requirements 24 times that of DVD video and 4 times that of Blu-ray, presenting the biggest challenge yet for networked storage.

The AegisSAN LX F630Q is Qsan’s Intel Xeon powered 16G FC SAN system that handles 4K video production easily. Dual 16 Gigabit Fibre Channel means ultimate storage bandwidth. Running Grass Valley EDIUS non-linear video editing software with Seagate enterprise class hard drives, customers can experience an efficient 4K video production system in action.

Surveillance Systems
Decreasing costs of cameras and networks mean video surveillance is becoming mainstream for even medium sized businesses, but the massive amounts of data generated make storage the biggest challenge for surveillance. Qsan will display effective video surveillance systems powered with its iSCSI SAN systems from AegisSAN family.

Qsan AegisSAN systems feature thin provisioning, redundant power supplies, and strong data protection to provide the massive storage and security required by surveillance applications. Whether it’s the high IOPS P600Q series with hardware RAID and 10GbE iSCSI, cost effective Q500 with energy efficient features, or the surveillance & backup specialized V100, visitors will see the value of Qsan AegisSAN systems for video surveillance.

Storage for Virtualization
As organizations virtualize they find that their existing storage architecture has insufficient IOPs to keep up with today’s requirements.  To demonstrate successful virtualization, Qsan will feature its high performance AegisSAN LX P600Q 10GbE iSCSI SAN.

With hardware RAID, an Intel Xeon processor, and 10Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, the AegisSAN LX P600Q rises to the challenge of VDI with superior IOPS for random data access and enterprise level high-availability. Featuring VMware, Hyper-V and Citrix support, Qsan’s AegisSAN products are capable of improved performance, superior scalability and better agility in VMware virtual server environments

Cloud & Backup Solutions
Today’s SMB applications require enterprise-class storage. Qsan’s TrioNAS unified storage Series and JBOD high availability enclosures offer ease of setup with the convenience of file-based data access.

The all-new TrioNAS U300 offers all the benefits of Qsan unified storage such as integration of NAS, iSCSI SAN & Cloud service via Amazon S3, and also adds Fibre Channel connectivity and massive storage expansion up to 192 hard drives. Robust backup options and data reliability make the TrioNAS products a comprehensive storage solution for small and medium sized businesses.
